With a variety of new software and mobile applications being developed every day, quality assurance has become a sought-after professional service. As a result, many among our young generation have leaned towards this career path. They want to become testers of the game or application and they are curious about how they work. However, are quality assurance checkers and application testers the same? This question has existed and been discussed for years now.
On one hand, a tester, as defined by the Oxford Dictionary, is “someone who experiments to discover whether or how well something works.” On the other hand, quality assurance (QA) is “the practice of managing the way goods are produced or services are provided to make sure they are kept at a high standard.” Testers are assigned to explore and inspect the product to find defects. They do not create the defects, but they find the defects that are already present. Meanwhile, the goal of quality assurance is to prevent defects, maintaining the integrity of the product. Testers are part of the quality assurance process. They work hand in hand in with QA professionals in order to identify present defects as well as the possible defects that may arise in the product.
Before a project can be considered complete, it must meet one key factor: quality. This is when QA comes into action. There is more than just testing when we talk of QA. It has been a common misconception that when you go through an application, play the game and spot a defect, you have already done QA. However, that is a relatively easy duty, and most workers with a bit of experience can do it. Performing of QA is not just a tap on the app or a click on that button; in fact, there is much more than that. It includes all procedures and standards, trainings, tools, and a strategic implementation of reviewed and analyzed documents, making sure that product requirements are met.
We, at RingZero Quality Assurance, focus on quality assurance, not just testing the application. We pride ourselves on having a squad of dedicated QA specialists who are always in pursuit of delivering a product that has fulfilled the highest standards. We are part of the product from the day it is created until it goes live. We work closely with the development team to verify that defects are caught as early as possible. Without a doubt, fixing a defect before release is preferred to finding a defect after release. We cater to the stakeholder’s request and create a plan based on their request, making sure that the process is transparent, effective and efficient. When the process is effective and efficient, it gives them the confidence that their quality requirements are met. For us, quality equals client and user satisfaction. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing our clients and their audience enjoy the applications that we have taken part in creating.
